Aerials from Ivanpah SEGS – November 2011
Recent aerials taken at the Ivanpah SEGS plant show impressive progress at all three units of the project. At Unit 1, the tower has grown to roughly 300 feet! In the Unit 1 solar field, heliostats are being placed onto pylons. At Unit 2, the tower is beginning to rise and is approximately 100 feet tall. At Unit 3, the foundational work continues and the erection of steel will begin shortly. Stay tuned for more construction updates in the December edition of the “Update from Ivanpah,” available in two weeks.
